Dealing with a diagnosis of breast cancer is very difficult for patients, their families and their friends. Support is increasingly available around Ireland. Many support centres have been set up by people who themselves have had a cancer diagnosis and have seen the need for support facilities. A number of the centres have professional staff or have a professional counselling service. As well as counselling, centres often provide group therapy, complementary therapies such as relaxation classes, and the chance to talk to people with a similar diagnosis. The centres also provide support for families.
This list is as complete as we have been able to make it but please do contact us with any additions and amendments. We are always delighted to hear of a new centre providing a service to an area not already covered.
